A school shuttle you can actually run,
without the address spreadsheet.

Transport collects families' requests by email link, maps approved riders and proposes a route for each shuttle. Your team checks and approves it, and the driver gets the stops on a link and a PDF.

A proposal per shuttle, with pickup times and checks against your own limits.

A shuttle run on goodwill and a spreadsheet.

  1. Today · 01

Requests arrive any way they can

An email here, a form at reception, a word at the gate. Somebody copies them into a sheet, and the sheet is never quite current.

  2. Today · 02

    Routes worked out by hand

Someone sits with a map and a list of addresses, deciding who fits on which bus and when to collect them. Every new rider means starting again.

  3. Today · 03

The driver's list is out of date

The driver has a printout from September. A child who stopped riding is still on it, and the parents' phone numbers are in the office, not in the van.

One place from request to driver's manifest.

  1. One link per family, one decision per child

Each family gets a personal link, in your school's branding, for all their children. You approve, waitlist or decline, and the family is emailed either way.

  2. A proposed route, not a blank map

FirstDay groups riders into shuttles by where they live, within the seats you have, and puts the stops in order with pickup times. You review it and approve it.

  3. The driver always has the live list

Publishing a route gives the driver a link and a PDF with the stops, names and parents' numbers. Cancel a rider and they leave the driver's list straight away.

From the offer to the driver's seat.

  1. 01

    Set up the offer

Enter the school's address, the service days, the morning arrival and afternoon departure times, the monthly fee per rider and your limits for ride length and detour. Add each shuttle with its seats.

  2. 02

    Send families their links

Pick children or whole year groups and send. Siblings share one email. Parents choose morning, afternoon or both and confirm the pickup address on a map. Staff can add a request too.

  3. 03

    Review and approve the routes

Choose a day and direction and recompute. Each proposal shows seats used, longest ride and detour against your limits. Reorder stops if you know better, then approve. The checks advise; they never block you.

  4. 04

    Publish to the driver

The driver gets a link that opens on their phone, with a day picker, tap-to-call parent numbers and a PDF manifest to print. The link expires after 90 days and you can revoke it at any time.

No login for the driver: stops in order, parents one tap away.

Who uses Transport

  • Head / Director

A shuttle service families can sign up for, run against limits you set rather than on goodwill.

  • Operations / Transport coordinator

Sets the offer, decides requests, approves and publishes routes, and manages driver links.

  • Bursar

With School Invoicing, each approved rider adds the monthly fee to the family's existing fee agreement.

  • Drivers

A link and a printable PDF with the stops in order and parents' numbers. No account, no password.

Questions about
Transport.

How is it priced?

One flat price per school: 129 zł (€29) a month, whatever the number of shuttles, riders or drivers. What you charge families per rider is your own choice, set on the offer.

Do we need School Invoicing?

No. Transport runs on its own and records the fee on each rider. With School Invoicing on, approving a rider adds the monthly fee to the family's existing fee agreement until the end of the school year. If that can't be done, the rider is still approved and the row says why.

Does FirstDay choose the routes for us?

It proposes them. Routes are recomputed overnight when riders or addresses change, but every proposal stays a draft until someone approves it and publishes it to the driver. Nothing reaches a driver without a person deciding.

How quickly do new addresses appear on the map?

Addresses are looked up one at a time, at the rate the map service allows, so a large first batch is worked through by a nightly run rather than instantly. An address that can't be found after three tries is flagged for you to correct. Stops follow real roads where road routing is available; otherwise the routes page tells you the times are straight-line estimates.

Who can see the children's details?

Staff need Transport permissions, and publishing or exporting isn't given to the built-in Member role. A driver link shows names, pickup addresses and parents' phone numbers, so send it only to the driver. A parent's note reaches the driver only if the parent ticks the box, and a school note only if you pin it.

Can families track the bus live?

No. There is no live tracking, no driver app and no pickup-time alerts to families today. Drivers work from a web link on their phone and a printable PDF; families hear from you when a request is decided.
