Every mark tells the same story,
not a different one per teacher.
Assessments lets a teacher record a 1–6 mark against the lesson it happened in, weighted across the categories your school agreed on, so leadership can see coverage and trust the term grade that follows.
Runs on top of Timetable & Attendance, so switch that on too.
Every teacher marks differently, and nobody can see the whole picture.

Marks live in a dozen private spreadsheets
Each teacher keeps their own gradebook, in their own format, on their own laptop. There's no shared record of what a class has actually been assessed on.
- Today · 02
A "5" means something different in every classroom
Without agreed categories and weights, one teacher's generous mark and another's strict one land on the same report looking identical.
- Today · 03
A struggling pupil is only found at report time
A run of low marks can go unnoticed for weeks. There's no consistent way to make sure the form tutor and parents hear about it when it happens.
One record, the same three categories, every subject.
Every assessment tied to a real lesson
Teachers record marks against the lesson they're teaching, not a spreadsheet started from scratch. The history builds itself.
Marked the same way, school-wide
Content & Concepts, Effort & Attitude, Skills & Enquiry — each weighted the way your school has agreed, with the Towards / Expected / Above band worked out automatically.
A "1" starts a conversation, not just a number
Recording a 1 requires a note and immediately notifies the form tutor and leadership, so the required talk-and-improve process starts the same day.
From today's lesson to a published term grade.
- 01
Record it against the lesson
Pick one of your timetabled lessons for today, mark each pupil 1–6 against a category, optionally against a rubric template, and drop in an evidence link (a Seesaw post, say). A live warning shows if a pupil already has too many assessments that day or week.
- 02
A "1" opens the follow-up checklist
A required note, then talked-to-student, improvement-offered, tutor-informed and parents-informed are tracked on the mark itself, not remembered by one teacher.
- 03
Watch coverage fill in the gradebook
The gradebook shows every pupil's marks by category, an advisory weighted suggestion, and how close each subject is to the term's 6–9 data-point target.
Effort & Attitude is short of target; the other two categories are on track. - 04
Enter, then publish, the term grade
The teacher enters a final 1–6 for each pupil, prefilled with the suggestion and always editable. Leadership publishes the term, which locks marks and grades against further edits — and each pupil gets a printable summary of their "I can…" progress and assessments for the parents' evening folder.

Assessments.
How is Assessments priced?
Per enrolled student per month, so the price follows your school size. Archived students aren't counted, and there is no separate charge per subject or per teacher.
Why does Assessments need Timetable & Attendance?
Every assessment is recorded against one of the teacher's real timetabled lessons, and the subjects, classes and teaching groups it uses all come from Timetable & Attendance.
Who can see a pupil's marks?
The subject teachers of that class, the form tutor, and staff with the assessments permission — nobody else. There is no parent or pupil view in this version.
Does the software decide the term grade?
No. The weighted total is shown as a suggestion only. The teacher always enters the final grade themselves, and can agree with the suggestion or override it.
Can parents see marks or the term grade?
Not today. Assessments is staff-only in this version — teachers, form tutors and leadership. A family-facing view isn't built yet.
What happens after a pupil gets a 1?
The teacher records a required note, then works through a checklist: talk to the pupil, offer a chance to improve, inform the form tutor, inform parents. The form tutor and leadership are notified in-app and by email as soon as the mark is saved.
Every mark tells the same story, not a different one per teacher.
